According to a story at GameLife, Nintendo’s latest Wii phenomenon Wii Fit is a huge hit in the UK. Apparently, Woolworths (a popular retail chain) sold an astounding 90 copies per minute when it launched last Friday. Woolworth’s games buyer Gerry Berkley reportedly told Web User just how revolutionary the title’s sales are: “For a game not targeted at gamers to sell in numbers like this is unheard of and is genuinely changing the market.” Very nice, Nintendo. I keep wondering just how far the Wii will go, and I certainly expect Wii Fit to have a huge impact when it releases in the US on May 19, 2008.
